A walk through "space 8"!

Hello from Korea! I visited GD's space 8 exhibition today and wanted to give an idea of what it was like. Unfortunately, I was so distracted, I forgot that I was going to take notes... so I'm going to apologise now for not remembering exactly everything we saw today and not being as precise as I wanted to be.

Reppin' UKBB!
It was pretty quiet whilst we were there, but today was GD, Seungri and Taeyang's stage at Inkigayo, so that must have had an effect! We walked straight in and it was fine walking around as you were able to take your time if you wanted to. It was recommended that if there were crowds, to not take more than an hour inside, but I lost track of how long we took. The gallery itself was relatively small, but the exhibition was nicely spaced. I used my ticket from the One Of A Kind Final concert for entry, and they stuck a sticker with an 8 to the back of it.

First up, the ground floor had Coup d'Etat pictures - some were large, around the size of a metre or so, others around poster size or a little smaller. There were three copies of the smudged painted portraits which are from the album; there was an extra white one to go with black and red versions.

Next, we went upstairs for selections of unseen pictures from older photoshoots. Immediately at the top of the stairs were Extraordinary 20's, along with Heartbreaker-era ones and four from Harper's Bazaar 2012 shoot in Paris. A memorable one was one of him lying on a skateboard, waving his arms about.  Around the corner were photoshoots I'd not seen before, from 2010 W magazine and (I think) ones from GD&TOP Japanese promotions. Each set of pictures were labelled with the year and name of the magazine/album promotion but a little bit more information would have been nice.

In the middle of that small area was the TV screen headpiece, which I remember he also used in the Michi Go stage at the first One Of A Kind Seoul concert. It was bigger than you realise from being in the audience and must have been relatively heavy! Then, before going back downstairs, were images from more recent photoshoots like Michi Go. Then, we went back down the stairs, but two flights this time, to the basement level where they had the props and costumes.

The item for auction was the dragon microphone stand - bidding started at 5,000,000 won and was at 15,000,000 won (as of the afternoon), and there were two stage outfits also for sale. Along the wall next to the microphone stand display case were the white masks used in the Coup d'etat video. In the centre of the room were six different outfits - you could stand right up near the barrier but of course, not touch! These included the red leather jacket with patches that he wore at the start of the concerts and the block multi-coloured leather coat he wore for, I think, Crayon in the first Seoul concert. Then, an whole corner of the room was taken up by the biggest piece of the exhibition - the car! At the end, to the side was a display of every album and DVD edition he's released, with his music videos being projected onto the far wall of the room.

The three pictures I bought.
Last but not least, the remainder of the space was taken up by the shop area, with all 88 pictures on the wall so you could choose which you wanted to buy. Unfortunately, the ones I really wanted were sold out (*sad face*) but I still bought these three pictures. At least it prevented me from spending a fortune!

Note; I have no idea now why I didn't publish this post earlier but I just found it in my drafts. I think it was posted on UKBB but I'm putting it up here too with a huuuuge delay, which just proves how sporadically I blog anything...!
