G-Dragon solo concerts with Liz & Kirsti [30th/31st Mar]

"Not another concert!!" I hear you cry! Well, yes.. but let's just get on with it, as then I can go back over more things since January that I still didn't get around to writing about yet. Something is better than nothing, right?!

Liz, me and Kirsti~
TLDR (Too Long, Didn't Read); it was an awesome show and I had a heck of a good long weekend with Liz and Kirsti.

Kirsti rocking GD fan-Mickey Mouse ears.
For starters, Liz and Kirsti flew in on Wednesday and spent the day in Hongdae before coming out to Gwangju on the bus. I still had work of course, but we went for kimbap and deokkbokki that night, which was yummy. They went to the COEX shopping centre on Thursday and we all went for samgyeopsal (also with Hanneke, the new teacher at my school who replaced Steph) in the evening. On Friday, again they went off into Seoul with all their stuff to the pimp suite in Gangnam, and I joined them for dinner in Edae with other international VIP's who were in town for the concerts too. We all also went to Teddy's Twosome cafe in Hongdae afterwards and met up with even more people before eventually making our way back to Gangnam.

UKBB represent!
Saturday was the first concert day~ I still went to Korean class (as for a change, it was only 10/15 minutes away instead of 90 or so) and went to Olympic Park to meet up with them afterwards. We queued for some fansite goods, met up with lots of people for tickets and things, and generally soaked up the atmosphere. We chilled out in the Tous les Jours there and kept running into the same people throughout the afternoon! We didn't bother with the merchandise queues, but instead chilled out in front of the big Gmarket-sponsored screen, singing and dancing along to the music videos. I have video evidence that Liz knows all the words to the Gmarket song that GD did a few years ago - useful for future bribery, ahaha! Hanneke also joined us later on and eventually we all went in as we had seats and didn't have to queue for standing.

2nd floor view on Saturday.
Me and Kirsti were very close to each other on the 2nd floor on stage right, only two rows apart. She was able to swap seats with the girl in front of me so that we could be right next to each other. Liz was clear across the other side of the arena from us, also on the 2nd floor and Hanneke was up on the 3rd floor but at least in the centre. I was also sat next to three lovely girls from Hong Kong.

Me~
The concert itself was utterly amazing, and we all had gotten emotional at some point. During Crayon/Fantastic Baby, I didn't know someone was filming the crowd (we were next to the steps/walkway so there was space to the right of each of us). Kirsti's most likely on that footage, but I'm hoping that I'm hidden behind her because I was jumping around like a loon by that point!

Dinner on Saturday = noms.
We made our way back to Gangnam and went to a Japanese restaurant I've been to a few times now (as it's very close to my class) and had taken Liz to last time she was here. Again, we just went back to our flat and crashed out, ready for the next day.

Happy Easter!
Sunday! In the morning we slept in a bit and just made our way to Olympic Park again, as the concert this time started at 3pm. The weather was much warmer at least... We all wore the BSX tshirts Liz had bought on Friday and bunny ears as it was Easter! That meant we got our photo's taken a fair bit with other fans - generally other iVIP's. We also met up with even more people yet again. We were interviewed by a YG film crew; she had a 3D camera and so there's a chance we'll be on the DVD...! We managed lots of UKBB promotion over the weekend, if nothing else~

3rd floor view on Sunday.
This time, we had seats together but we were up on the 3rd floor. Lots of people around us didn't stand up, which made me feel a bit awkward sometimes but we just did our own thing and stood and jumped and waved lightsticks anyway. For me, being with friends made it a much better experience but the show itself, again, was fantastic. They'd changed the running order too, and this time 2NE1 did two songs which I really enjoyed and gave GD a break as well. There was also a guy in the row in front of us who clearly had been relatively dragged along but must have been a fanboy because he jumped up at them (which we thought was hilarious and adorable).

I couldn't get Liz in this pic too, hence my expression...
As it had been an earlier concert, we had time to pop to Kyobo books in Gangnam in the evening and bought some magazines, before a late dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. Proper cheese! Yay! And really nice wine too.

Pizza!
We rounded off the night with a short noraebang session, although by this point, me and Liz had pretty much both lost our voices so it was... interesting. At least, it was the really nice noraebang I'd been to before that also has free help-yourself ice cream, so woohoo~

Smile, and look like you're having fun!!
Well, I still have even more to talk about but I think I'll do another short post about our final day because this has gotten so ridiculously long (although really, it's just a lot of pictures). Congratulations for reading all that!
