Back from England..

..and much more settled into my new place. Robert's gone now, as he stayed extra couple nights, and goes back to Munich tonight.

As for the time at home; was good to be back in Birmingham, and see Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh in Waterstone's!! Went up to town with Mum on the train, and had a really good afternoon. Bought some fluffy material to make cat ears and a tail when I'm back at Christmas, and have found some really good ideas on the internet for them.

Also managed not to buy loads of manga/books from Nostalgia and Borders, which was actually a good thing. It was nice to spend the evening at home, watching Strictly Come Dancing and then the Count of Monte Cristo.

Sunday, went to see the new Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, which I quite liked, but only on reflection; where was the gadgets and Q??? Still, it was better than Casino Royale, and I'm really liking Daniel Craig more now as Bond. Saw some fireworks, although not amazing, at the Orange Tree in Chadwick End. Got a tad muddy, but was good to see Uncle Steve, Sam and Lucy and a sort-of bonfire.

And then back before I know it. Work was ok yesterday, catching up in French wasn't quite as bad as I'd feared. Was looking forward to a lecture today, but felt dreadful this morning so emailed in sick and went back to bed. Feeling much better now though! :)

Ooh, and I really don't know why I can't write emails from Hotmail anymore. It's all greyed out and won't let me! Stupid bloody thing upgraded itself to Windows Live, so assuming it's something to do with that. Will sort it out soon enough anyway. Sorted!! Thanks to some hints from people on the Ubuntu forums!
